Security Operations Specialist

£50,000 to £60,000 + Generous Bonus + Competitive Benefits

Southampton, Hampshire

As a preferred recruitment partner to this well-established global financial services organisation, we have been asked to assist in the hire of a permanent Security Operations Specialist to join them out of their UK HQ in Southampton.

Working within Information Security Operations you will be a part of a highly important department which is responsible for maintaining the services required to respond to security alerts, including incident resolution and service restoration. In addition, this department oversees critical security services to ensure they operate as required.

Key Skills and Experience Required

-Information Security Incident Response

-Information Security Threat Vectors and Actors (TTPs - Tactics, Techniques and Procedures)

-Key Internet Services and Security Controls

-Working with Service Management to improve functionality of existing tech

-Experience in a regulated industry or financial institution

-Communicating effectively with both IT and Business staff

-Large complex IT change projects (InfoSec aspects)

-Identifying Cyber Security Risks and developing appropriate solutions

-Working in Agile environments / Agile teams

-Influence stakeholders across different groups / departments

Relevant Qualifications

-Relevant SANS GIAC Qualification (e.g. GCIH)

-CISSP, CISM, A-ISAP or equivalent desired

-Firewall / WAF / DLP Management and Administration

-Qualys Vulnerability Management

-Relevant Microsoft Professional Certifications

-CCNA (or equivalent)

Package: Alongside a base salary up to £60,000, you will be entitled to one of the most competitive benefit packages currently in the market: Performance Related Bonus (3/5 = 10-20%, 4/5 = 15-25%, 5/5 = 25%+), Pension Scheme (10% employer contribution), Life Assurance (lump sum 4 times base salary), Income Protection (income of 75% of base salary payable after 26 weeks of absence), Private Healthcare, 24-26 days holiday.
