Operations Engineer - Leeds - £35K - £45K +10% Bonus + 8% Pension

Description

My client is a leading Software company working with the latest tech in a cloud environment. Based in Leeds, you will join a busy a collaborative business operations team supporting their clients in a 24x7 environment.

Your role will be to maintain and develop the businesses cloud hosted platforms, you will be responsible for the proactive day-to-day monitoring and running of proprietary platform instances. This also includes reporting and delivery support, working within strict SLA's. to ensure uptime is adhered to, minimising any risk or downtime. Monitoring platform health, API quota usage, errors and anomaly detection.

Key Skills;

*SQL

*Experience implementing monitoring software, such as Zabbix, Nagios or StackDriver

*Experience of REST APIs for monitoring purposes

*Ability to write and maintain monitoring scripts, ideally in C#

*Experience of working in a cloud technology environment

It is imperative that you have excellent communication skills with experience dealing with stakeholders , often being able to comfortably present ideas .
