Closing Date: 17th January 2020 As a Business Systems Analyst you will provide professional business analysis services to support the organisation in project activities. You'll leads analyse delivery and manage teams of analysts on medium projects or large projects and programmes under the direction of a Programme Manager. About the role As a Business Systems Analyst you will be tasked with the identification of functional and non-functional system requirements from operational teams to feed into the IT development lifecycle. You will manage system incidents through to resolution with internal and external support domains, create solution design documentation and mock-ups on proposed functionality changes and lead on design workshops with operational staff including IT and 3rd party suppliers.

You'll support strategic objectives of implementing leading cutting-edge technology that is fit for purpose, and ensure our advisers and internal customers receive valuable system enhancements that offer a seamless user experience.

You'll operate over the full software lifecycle, ensuring that solutions are based on operational business needs, prioritising requirements based on high-value achievable requirements and improving system quality by ensuring that we deliver the right changes at the right time, first time and every time. About you You'll be analytical with strong business analysis skills and an ability to clearly document business requirements. You'll have the ability to gather and interpret information with a creative approach to problem-solving, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. You'll be able to communicate with customers with a wide range of technical skills, with the ability to work proactively and on own initiative with a clear delivery focus but also a good team worker.

You'll be educated to degree level or have equivalent working experience with good SQL skills, an understanding of relational databases and advanced MS Excel skills.

Ideally you'll hold an external accreditation in Business Analysis, Data Analysis, SQL or Excel, and have experience of working in a business systems analyst related role, ideally including some gained working within the Financial Services industry. A proven track record of working on IT-related system change projects and BAU, with a broad knowledge of hardware, software and programming is also desirable, with SSRS and SSIS experience being advantageous.
