Closing Date: 13 December 2019 The IT Service Management Tools Developer will support the existing ServiceNow Service Management toolset and future toolset implementations. Work with the business, Toolset Manager, Business Analysts, Test Analysts and IT team to assist in the design and implement new functionality required by the business. You'll also discover an inclusive culture and every opportunity for personal and professional development.  About the role Manage reported faults with existing ServiceNow functionality through to resolution Carry out regular housekeeping tasks to maintain accuracy of data and ensure governance policies for the toolset/s are followed Make requested administrative and content changes to Service Management tools Manage new functional requirements through to delivery: Gather user requirements Produce specifications Estimate timescales Develop and deploy solutions Ensure quality assurance and testing; creating test plans/scripts to ensure alignment with IT standards/strategy Coordinate with users to plan and execute User Acceptance Testing and final deployment to live Deal with changing requirements Liaise with internal customers Handle ad-hoc requests Monitor the toolset applications/platforms, proactively address any issues and raise Improvement opportunities Ensure system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency Evaluate new IT developments and evolving business requirements, recommending appropriate system alternatives and / or enhancements to current systems Prepare communications and make presentations on proposed system enhancements and / or alternatives About you Ideally you will be qualified in the following areas and have the below experience:: ServiceNow Certification (Admin / Developer) Desirable Qualifications: ITIL Foundation V3 / V4  Knowledge and experience from assisting in the design and development of toolsets to enhance and improve stability of IT Service Operations ServiceNow support and administration ServiceNow scripting and Web Technologies (JavaScript, AJAX, Jelly, Bootstrap, XML, HTML, CSS and preferably also HTML5 & AngularJS) Fundamental understanding of the key technologies relevant to software integration solutions (LDAP, SSO, SAML, SSL, Web Services, JDBC, ODBC, REST, SOAP) Desirable: ServiceNow Service Portal development ServiceNow application development SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 ASP.Net web forms with C# (ASP.Net 3.5 or later) ASP.Net MVC framework Database design and implementation Querying third party systems to generate reports Use of version control software Benefits No matter what job you do you should feel valued and appreciated.  That's why we offer a competitive total reward package, which enables our employees to share in the success they help to create.
