IT Procurement Manager

Spring technology are working on a new and exciting opportunity with a leading blue chip retail business to recruit an IT Procurement Manager to join their already existing team based in in Somerset.

The Role

The successful candidate will be tasked on leading the strategic procurement and category management initiatives within the global procurement team. This will involve managing a multi-million IT spend on different services.

The Responsibilities

*Manage and collaborate with senior stakeholders.

*Using relationship management and influencing skills to gain support for procurement and category management initiatives.

*Design and execute category plans that include strategic procurement, contract renewals, extensions and terminations and disputes.

*Design and Execute go to market procurement plans.

*Manage supplier relationships and performance to maintain commercial advantage for our client.

The Requirements

*Experience within a similar position is vital.

*Knowledge of IT Hardware and Software.

*Proven relationship building experience and ability to deliver financial benefits.

*Excellent communication skills as the role require communication to various stakeholders both internal and external.

*Knowledge of contract law.

*Strong negotiation skills.
