The Opportunity:

Due to our continued success, we are growing our Testing functional capability in order to better support our customers that are primarily located in the Berkshire & East Midlands areas. As a result, we are looking for experienced test professionals across all disciplines to start in permanent roles.

The Role:

As a Triage QA Engineer, the successful candidate will be in charge of the test automation and quality of the following key components;

Has a wide experience in writing test cases for embedded electronic systems from hardware level to the application layer

Good technical knowledge/ experience gained in triaging issues based on following GB smart metering Technical Interface specifications

GBCS - Great Britain Companion Specification

CHTS - Comms Hub Technical Specification

SMETS - Smart metering Technical Specification

DUIS - DCC user interface specification

MMC- Message Mapping Catalogue

Zigbee smart energy

Good knowledge on Smart Metering Security Model - Public/Private key pairs, Message Authentication Codes, Smart Metering Key Infrastructure (SMKI), Certificates and Certificate Signing requests

The Person:

Experience with a range of technologies - including: Microservices and API

In addition it would be a nice to have exposure to: NoSQL databases (ideally, PostgresSQL, InterSystems Caché

Kubernetes and Docker based container platforms (ideally Openshift)

Hadoop based data platform and ecosystem (ideally Cloudera)

Relational databases in OLTP and data warehousing environments
