2nd Line IT Support Engineer

Spring Technology are now recruiting for an awarding winning organisation to recruit a 2nd Line Support Engineer who has excellent experience working within Technical Support to join their thriving team in Sheffield.

The Role

You'll be delivering a high level of customer service, supporting a wide range of systems in the company's IT portfolio. You will primarily be providing desktop support with some server duties too. There may be occasional travel to other sites, in this instance, all expenses will be paid.

Key Responsibilities

* Resolving tickets that have been escalated to 2nd line service desk

* Assisting the on-site teams in all IT incidents, reactively and pro-actively.

* Install and upgrade hardware and software

* Take ownership of issues and problems

* Escalate more complex issues to the 3rd line support team.

You will need

* Strong experience within a complex 1st line or 2nd line capacity

* Technical skills to include: MS Server 2012, Windows 10, DHCP, DNS are essential

* Any knowledge and experience of Azure is desirable, but not essential

* Proven deskside support

* Exceptional customer service skills

* Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management will be needed with an ability to explain technical concepts to a non technical audience

* Organised and a strong ability to manage your own time, deadlines and be proactive
