Working with a leading bank going through a large scale Settlement System implementation. They are looking to add a Lead Business Analyst to their Design Control Team, to ensure all design activity is coordinated, aligned to scope and delivered to expected quality standards. Client DetailsEstablished bankDescriptionThe programme is currently in the Design-Enable-Procure (DEP) stage. A key part of this phase is to define the future design of the new Settlement system, to procure a Technology Delivery Partner (TDP) to support its delivery and commence the initial execution of the programme's Transition Strategy.As the Design Control Lead you will be accountable for defining and delivering the programme strategy for Design Control, representing Design Control in relevant programme governance meetings and, when required, within the Programme Management Team. You will be expected to form close working relationships with both the Technical Delivery Partner and Transition Delivery teams to establish, embed and test that appropriate Quality Controls Responsibilities include:Setting out the approach, strategy and plan for maintaining design integrity through all phases of the programme (from supplier selection, through mobilisation and delivery).

Establishing and maintaining appropriate frameworks for quality, design, change control, and e2e design traceability.

Day-to-day management of the Design Control team balancing the workload across team members to deliver programme priorities.

Reporting to the Business Design Lead on progress, issue escalation and acting as a delegate on design related topics where required.

Representing Design Control on the Change Advisory Board and supporting the chair of the Design Authority on governance of changes and alignment of approvals required.

ProfileRecent experience as Lead Business Analyst / Senior Business Analyst with team management responsibilities.

Strong requirements management and traceability experience combined with a project management skill set.

Good understanding of business and technical design and how these evolve throughout and end-to-end programme life cycle.

Familiar with Central Banking landscape, UK payments or financial services.

Comfortable shaping solutions to ambiguous problems by drawing on own experience as a senior business analyst.

Strong organisation and planning skills. This role will require a deep understanding of the programme plan, key milestones and delivery approach. The role is required to report against plans on a weekly basis while identifying, communicating and escalating risks.

Ability to handle dependencies across a portfolio of work streams/ projects.

Demonstrable experience in conducting impact assessments and leading design change in complex governance landscapes to strict time lines.
