Can you meet the challenge?

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen to join our organisation to assist in the delivery our Retail and Information Strategy Programme. This company spanning project aims to improve the service our customers experience by delivering innovative solutions.

As our ideal candidate we are looking for a talented individual educated to Degree level in an IT related subject or equivalent to join our IT Development Team who are responsible for the website planning, maintenance, development and web server management (Kentico). As well as planning, maintenance, development tasks for our CRM (MS Dynamics).

The key responsibilities of this role are to provide development, testing, maintenance and support services for web (Intranet, Internet and Extranet) applications, content management systems and the CRM system to meet SYPTE's overall objectives and the Information Technology Strategy whilst ensuring optimal use of resources at all times. In addition, you will develop products (code and other outputs) in a controlled manner, working towards the organisational & industry standards for design, configuration management, resilience quality control and programming. You will also provide proactive support and development in a multi-tier windows server environment to support SYPTE's various websites ensuring continuous service to SYPTE's internal and external customers.

If so, do you have the qualities?

Our ideal candidate will have previous experience of previous website development and maintenance experience as well as previous programming experience in a common language used for online development.

The key qualities you will bring to this role are

enthusiasm to use your skills to provide a high level of customer service to our customers

team working,

communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

The successful candidate will also need experience in the following:

Experience of developing and writing for client and server-side web applications (C#, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, XML, CSS, ASP.NET)

Experience and understanding of IIS and web application architecture to create and maintain multiple websites across several servers

Experience and knowledge of supporting and developing an industry leading CRM system.

A good understanding of the implications of legislation affecting IT use, including the GDPR, Computer Misuse Act and appropriate health and safety legislation
