Role Purpose

We are looking for an Optical (DWDM) Specialist to join a small team based in the Midlands to deliver and support our growing Optical DWDM transmission network across the UK and into Europe.

The role will involve on site installation & commissioning, ongoing Remote & On-Site Support (including Telephone Standby) along with elements of Optical Network Design.

Within the NOC based in Solihull, Birmingham is a small specialist team Designing, Delivering and supporting a Secure Optical DWDM network across the UK based on ADVA equipment and a growing number of Fujitsu S100 Flashwave equipment across Europe.

Key Accountabilities: A proven background in DWDM engineering i.e. Commissioning, Installation, -Network Support, Network Design, Network PlanningPossess or working towards an ADVA accreditationHold or have the ability to attain SC clearanceAbility to join a telephone standby Rota (1 week in every 4 or 5).Full Driving license
