My client is a Global company who have been providing worldwide testing solutions to a large variety of companies, associations and institutions for decades. They are a leader in the assessment industry offering solutions through multiple business channels.

Main job purpose:

Reporting in to the International IT Manager, the Network Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that network infrastructure and connectivity of all parts of the International business run smoothly and provide a secure and stable platform for business operations. The role will also entail working with the IT Manager in investigating, designing and implementing new solutions to resolve business issues and further the company's long term strategic objectives.

Core Skills:
An in depth understanding core routing protocols and the TCP / IP stackAbility to configure and maintain a variety of different VPN protocols, including SSL, L2P, IPSECExperience implementing and maintaining LAN / WAN solutions over multiple sitesExcellent knowledge of Cisco switches / routers / firewallsFamiliarity with a range of different vendor solutions, including Cisco, Dell, Microtik, FortinetExperience with network monitoring solutions such as SolarWinds, PRTGExperience with network capacity planning, network security principles and network management best practicesExperience with Zscaler and Checkpoint desirable but not essential Duties:
Support and maintain all networking equipment across the International business, including both corporate and test centre locations, cloud and on-premise firewallsDiagnose and resolve technical issues rapidly to ensure maximum uptime across all locationsReview long term trends, identify future capacity or performance issues and recommend and take appropriate preventative actionEnsure that all network equipment is kept up to date with firmware releases and patchesTake a leading role in the setup and configuration of network equipment for new locationsEnsure that all network changes go through a rigorous testing and change control processEnsure that all network documentation is kept up to date, and supply new documentation where none existsInvestigate and recommend improvements to and replacement of existing networking solutions
Experience Required:
CCNA / CCNP qualifiedExperience of proactively maintaining a complex, multi-site networkExperience of implementation of new systems and solutionsGood oral communication and presentation skillsAbility to write clear technical documentation and correspondence and present complex information in an easy to read formatIf you're interested please submit your CV and contact Tom Dennett
