Real Time Recruitment Solutions https://www.rtrs.co.uk DSP (Digital Signal Processing) Engineer, Loughborough, £40,000 - £45,000We are currently working in partnership with an award-winning designer of wireless telecommunications products across the globe and are looking for an ambitious and talented Digital Signal Processing Engineer to work in a software and hardware team of 6 engineers at the company's HQ in Loughborough.
You don't need to be the finished article, whether you are looking for your first in-industry role or you're looking for your second or third job move this role is ideal for you. What is most important is a fantastic attitude, quick learner, a person who is creative and confident to work independently or collaboratively as a team.
Role Responsibility
You will be actively involved in the development of signal processing application software, to support the in-house software defined radio hardware. Working with cutting edge silicon to develop a hardware platform supporting my clients 5G developments.
Key SkillsStrong/Confident coding in C on embedded platformsEmbedded Software/Firmware design.Digital Signal Processing Knowledge.Understanding of ARM Cortex or PowerPC microprocessors.Good knowledge of a Linux environment.Scripting Languages: Perl, Python, etc.VCS: Git and Bug Tracking tools such as JIRA.Background in Scripting, software, hardware and product testing.
Other skills that would be handy include (You will get exposure develop your skills in these areas if you're not already up to speed):MatlabKnowledge of development environments eg - NXP CodeWarrior, TI Code Composer Studio.Understanding of network cellular technology eg: 3G, 4G, 5GRF and physical layer processing.
