Role: Graphic Designer

Location: Newport

Length: 4 Months initially

Rate: £13.69 per hour maximum

My newport based client is looking for a Graphic Designer to join them with the following skill set.

Key Skills:

*Experienced designer able to work with Adobe Creative Cloud applications (particularly Adobe InDesign), with the flexibility to work on either Apple Mac or PC platforms

*Experience working with teams to understand complex problems and provide design and layout solutions that meet the business need.

*A proven ability to provide creative and innovative solutions to customer briefs.

*A graduate with a degree in a relevant subject or relevant work experience, or both.

*Able to effectively translate and accurately communicate across technical and non-technical stakeholders as well as facilitate discussions within a multidisciplinary team, with potentially difficult dynamics.

*Able to advocate for the team externally and can manage differing perspectives.

*Is responsive to changes in technology, adapting their approach accordingly.

*Makes decisions to meet user needs in the government context. Understands the importance of assisted digital and can design services and make decisions to meet user needs.

*Able to generate multiple solutions to a problem and test them.

*Identifies and engages with users and stakeholders to collate user needs and evidence.

*Able to use quantitative and qualitative data about users to turn user needs into outcomes.

*Able to use software efficiently making use of shortcuts and appropriate tools. Is responsible for choosing the technology and outputs, for example paper size and weight.
