Role: Release ManagerLocation: CambridgeJob Description:My rapidly expanding Client at the forefront of new technologies has an urgent requirement for an experienced Release Manager to be based in their Cambridge office. My client is offering a highly competitive salary package plus excellent benefits and are looking for someone with an excellent grasp of Release Management principlesYou will be responsible for coordinating the engineering teams and stake holders contributing towards the Clients product releases. You will facilitate the Clients products into their public cloud-based SaaS service and you will also participate in the broader Programme Management of these releases. In addition you will coordinate the delivery of releases in a collaborative and pragmatic way and will drive the evolution of their processes as the company grows in a continuous and Agile fashion.Requirements:Comprehensive understanding of Release/Project Management principlesExperience of Release Management in an enterprise software or distributed software technology environment. Ideally one that is Cloud/Linux based and follow and agile processDemonstrable ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completionComfortable collaborating with teams with very diverse technical skills, and non-technical teamsPrior professional experience in software development or software test development (SDET)Deep understanding of the software development lifecycleDesirableFormal training/certification in project management practices e.g. Prince2, PMPExperience using Jira/Confluence or similar project management toolsExperience of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operationsTo apply or for more information please contact Seamus Hayes at IC-Resources
