Are you a C&I Engineer looking for your next immediately available, 12 - 24 month days based contract role where you will be able to work from your own home for a market leading Oil & Gas company?This market leading company provide services to several military facilities and some of the main airports within the UK. They are currently undergoing a modernisation programme of the infrastructure with the aim of improving efficiency, safety and reducing cost. They are the main pipeline and storage facility within the country and represent 50% of the British pipeline network and have around 16 storage facilities. They supply around 35% of the demand for aviation fuel for the main airports within the UK. Due to their expanding needs they are looking for a Controls and Instrumentation Engineer.Within this role you will be required to support the client's project teams by delivering the C&I function discipline and ensuring risks to operation of plant and equipment are recognised, assessed and mitigated.This role would therefore suit a C&I Engineer with experienced with PLC, SCADA or DCS Systems (Rockwell, ABB, Siemens, Wonderware etc.) who can also interpret P&ID's, C&E Diagrams, hook-up drawings, loop drawings, power and control cable specs, load lists, SLD, Cable Schedules, Electrical Protection and more.The Role:Controls & Instrumentation EngineerWorking from home + travel to my client's office in central London and Site visitsProvide project discipline engineering design and realisation support; specifically, documentation control and reviews for the following projects: Tank Overfill Protection and ATG Projects, Mainline Pump Upgrade Projects, SCADA system Upgrade Project, Leak Detection Projects and EC&I Continuation ProjectsThe Person:Control & Instrumentation EngineerWorking knowledge of Regulations and Directives: DSEAR (ATEX), PER (PED), COMAH and CDMWorking Knowledge of applicable standards: BS 7671, BS EN 60079, BS EN 61508, BS EN 61511, BS EN 62061 & EEMUA 191
