My client urgently requires a Performance Tester to work in contract from the customer site in Edinburgh.

List of core responsibilities:

* Performance Testing project implementation involving

* Conduct meetings with the business or development teams to identify the scope and Non-Functional/Performance requirements

* Attaining a holistic understanding of business processes and the underlying application/service infrastructure

* Preparing Performance test strategies

* Evaluation of tool capabilities to ascertain suitability to the project requirements

* Securing the performance test environment to the relevant security standards

* Communicating with business/development team managers

* Coordinating performance tests and monitoring progress

* Reviewing Performance test scripts

* Creating/Reviewing workload models

* Resolution of issues that impede the testing effort

* Reviewing test execution results

* Reviewing final test results

* Presenting Executive Summary reports during TCR

* Securing Performance Test plan approval from System Architects/SMEs/Chief Engineers etc.

* Assuming Performance Test Specialist role involving:

* Creation of Performance Testing assets

* Review/Approval of Performance testing documentation

* Instigating the Test Engagement process

* Test Requirements Analysis

* Test Strategy creation

* Test Plan creation

* Test Script/Scenario creation

* Test Execution scheduling

* Test Results Analysis

* Test Summary Reports creation

* Test Closure Reports creation

* Assist other DXC Performance Test team members with resolution of Performance test script/scenario related issues.

* Ensuring all Test assets produced (Performance Test plan/script design etc.) meets business requirements before being released for external approval if required.

* Productively participate in peer reviews either as reviewer or an author being reviewed with the aim to ensure Test documentation standards.

* Learning and implementation of new concepts to enhance the quality and efficiency of Performance test execution.

* Participating in knowledge sharing amongst peers.

* Researching new Performance Testing technologies/tools /frameworks.

* Fostering effective communication between applicable stakeholders, Performance Test team members and other teams.
