Data Quality Analyst

Salary: £30,634 - £40,251

Location: Milton Keynes

Type: Permanent (35 hours per week)

Based within the Data Quality & Control team of a major bank, as a Data Analyst you will be joining a team that are responsible for developing new data controls, enhancing current data quality maturity, enabling new and improved data quality reporting and supporting the increasing demands of data certifications, data quality projects and building the maturity of the data quality model.

The Data Development & Automations team are responsible for developing new data controls, enabling new and improved DQ reporting and supporting the increasing demands of data certifications, data quality projects and freeing resource within the department by delivering automations of existing work.

The Role:

The role encompasses activity across retail, business & corporate data domains, and involves building new controls and certifications for new data sources, automating/scheduling existing SAS processes, providing support for data related projects, creating new reporting and providing technical support to other members of DQ&C. Main Duties:Developing new reporting utilising SAS, SQL and MicroStrategyCreating automation solutions for existing workloads using SAS and the SAS scheduling serverDelivering new certifications and control models utilising SAS, SQL and MicroStrategyDevelopment work on data projects including migrations, reconciliations and certificationsBecome an SME in our chosen strategic technologiesWorking with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliverables Key Requirements:

KnowledgeA strong understanding of relational data bases is essentialA good understanding of the role that data quality can play in a business and the 'need to get it right'Knowledge of data visualisation tools such as MicroStrategy or Qlikview is desirable but not essentialKnowledge of BigData platforms would be a benefit but not essentialSkillsStrong SQL programming skills are essentialStrong SAS programming skills are beneficialConfident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills and an ability to networkAnalytical skills with a proven track record of delivering results in a time pressured environmentExperience of performing reconciliations and analysing large volumes of dataAble to produce and present data to wide range of stakeholders in a professional format
