System Tester - IT Consultancy - Manchester

Manchester -£45,000 - £50,000 (DOE) + excellent benefits including remote and flexible working

Role:

An experienced system tester is required to be part of the Centre of Excellence team for a leading IT consultancy based just outside of Manchester City Centre.

The role holder will be required to:System test software, including test writing and running and bug diagnosisWork with the developers to analyse and resolve bugsTake responsibility for the testing of particular areas of OSKeep test records and bug records up to dateAssist in configuration management.Key Accountabilities:Qualification & Test: Assists in evaluation, qualification and testing of a product / solution according to internal test specifications and processesDocumentation: Provides necessary technical documentation of test results in line with requirements.Lifecycle: Supports lifecycle of modules and productsTechnical Expertise: Takes responsibility for improving and extending his/her knowledge in his area of expertise and networking with more senior colleagues

Required/mandatory skills:

The role holder will have:Previous experience working as a testerLanguage skills, preferably C or C++Been involved in various stages of the software development lifecycleExperience in problem diagnosis techniquesInitiative, flexibility and will be a good team worker and self-starterAdhere to policies, process, procedureEvidence of progress in skill development (breadth/depth of knowledge on products)System Tester
