Infrastructure Support Specialist (Platform)

6 Month Contract - £350 to £400pd

As a trusted and preferred recruitment partner to this global financial services group, we have been asked to assist in the hire of a contract Infrastructure Support Specialist (Platform) to join them on an initial 6-month contract.

The successful individual will work on both IT Infrastructure project work, and be responsible for providing technical infrastructure support.

Technical Skills / Experience Required

-Windows Server 2008 - 2016 (AD, DNS, DHCP, WSUS) setup/provisioning/configuring

-Storage: SAN Storage / iSCSI Storage / Storage Spaces

-Virtualization: Hyper-V / VMware

-Networking: Cisco Hardware / Technologies

-Windows Clustering

-Backup and Recovery (preferably Symantec)

-System Centre 2012 Suite (preferably SCOM and SCCM)

-Office 365, MS Outlook

-Firewalls / IDS / IPS

-Remote Access Techniques (RADIUS / VPN)

-Advanced Active Directory

-Advanced DNS and DHCP

-Cloud Technologies - Azure (from a design / administrative perspective)

-ITIL and ISO20000 / 27000

-Project Delivery Methods (PRINCE2 / Agile)

The Role

-Assess business/service requirements and the associated design of technical architecture

-Develop IT Infrastructure through continuous improvement

-Develop standard procedures for configuration / installation of platform infrastructure

-Research benefits and impact of new systems / services / technologies

-Produce costings and solution designs

-Assist with change, release and deployment management process

-Lead on the validation, testing and acceptance into service processes

-Support knowledge management through documentation

-Support problem management through diagnosis and resolution of problems

-Support access management by maintaining access rights
