With local authorities facing an unprecedented period of change, at a time of increasing demand for services and reducing funding. The need for high quality and timely management information and analysis for the purpose of improving performance, processes and the quality of the services delivered across the council and its partners, has never been greater.
To help support this work we looking to develop our existing Business Intelligence and Analytics capabilities by maximising the functionality of Microsoft Azure Cloud Services. By creating a single analytics platform and capability, that can be used by all departments within Hampshire County Council and partners.
With the Azure platform and services now in place we are looking for an experienced Azure and Information Governance expert to help us realise its potential to enable us to become an analytical and intelligence lead organization.
Knowledge:
High level of experience of setting up Azure services to meet the analytical needs of complex organisations
Experience of using PowerBi for the visualization and publishing of management and performance information
Extensive knowledge of information governance, including
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
Data protection Act 2018
The operation of sound management controls to mitigate the risk of data incidents within a health or social care environment.
Experience:
Ideally you will have previous experience of working within local government with an understanding of the nature of public services delivery; particularly in a social care or health setting
High level of experience in setting up large and complex reporting datasets for supporting business improvement and the monitoring of outcomes.

Demonstrate excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills to a high standard
Team and project management & organisation capability
Good interpersonal and communication skills including the preparation and presentation of complex information, both written and verbal, to operational staff, senior managers and partners
Negotiation & cooperation, working closely with a range of staff, both technical and non-technical, to identify and determine their current analytical capabilities and their future needs and requirements.
Able to think laterally and logically to be able to assess potential impact of plans and strategies and present a number of options for different scenarios
To be able to use initiative and be innovative in both approaching work, finding solutions and solving problems.
