Java Developer Cambridge to £60k

Java Developer / Software Engineer (Java SpringBoot Messaging Kafka MQ Linux). Want to work on technically challenging projects collaborating with a busy, motivated team of software professionals in a friendly environment with a good work / life balance? You could be joining a market leading software house whose remote access product is used by hundreds of millions of users worldwide.

As a Java Developer you will be a key member of an Agile development team tasked with re-engineering the core product and deploying it to the Cloud. This is a Greenfield development opportunity where you can have influence on technology choices, partnering with the Lead Software Engineer for the newly formed Cloud team. You'll operate across the full technology stack, evolving the platform by integrating new connectivity options and enabling future product innovations. As a senior member of the team you will deliver well considered designs, architecture and clean code and collaborate to share ideas.

Offices based in Cambridge City centre, short walk from the station. Casual dress code, informal and sociable atmosphere, good work / life balance.

Requirements:

Strong core Java design and development skills

Experience with SpringBoot

Familiar with messaging systems such as ActiveMQ, Kafka, SQS or similar

Good knowledge of SQL

Strong knowledge of Linux OS

Appreciation of Cloud based technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), keen interest and desire to work with going forward

Genuine enthusiasm for technology and happy to pick up new languages and technologies
