6 Month Fixed Term Contract
Based at either our Wythall or Edinburgh offices We are recruiting for an experienced Portfolio Office Manager focusing on Resource Management, to co-ordinate key projects relating to the acquisition of Standard Life Assurance Limited. In this role you will be maintaining an effective Resource Management Framework supporting the Transition portfolio. The role includes the engagement of project teams and key business stakeholders to ensure that project resource requirements are identified, estimated and managed in a timely manner. In accordance with our business model you will also work with our outsource providers and partners to ensure that they are able to support the Transition portfolio. Key Accountabilities Maintain a detailed knowledge and understanding of Project Resource Plans and associated risks, issues, dependencies and constraints within the portfolio. Closely manage business and project stakeholders to improve the accuracy of resource planning and assignment information, as well as managing resourcing issues, risks and actions required to support the change portfolio. Support the resource request and allocation process within Phoenix's resource management system for Transition Projects. Manage resource conflicts for the portfolio by proactively engaging all impacted stakeholders and driving issues to resolution. To develop meaningful and timely resource MI and proactively conduct analysis which drives and supports portfolio scheduling and resource decision making, in particular to projects attending the Resource Management Forums Continually look to improve the Resource Management Function within the Transition portfolio Work with the Project Management teams to maintain current resource information for the portfolio ensuring regular review and approval of resource. Key Requirements Relevant resource management knowledge/ experience in a similar environment Strong knowledge and experience in a variety of resource management tools Ability to prepare and analyse information and provide commentary and recommendations Sound knowledge and experience of techniques /disciplines used to plan, monitor and control projects from initiation through to delivery Experience of configuration management/documentation management Excellent PC literacy, particularly Excel, Microsoft Word and MS Project To apply online simply click the APPLY button.
