The Role

Due to our continued growth and success, we are looking for a self motivated Senior Security Sales Engineer who will report directly into the Chief Information Security Officer based in the US.

The role of Senior Security Sales Engineer will be responsible for helping reduce sales cycle times through direct and timely handling of customer security and compliance requests. They will be responsible for providing security and compliance assurance support to 8x8 Sales, Channel Partners and 8x8 customers.

Additionally, they will work with DevOps, product management, and 8x8 AppSec team to ensure 8x8 applications and global infrastructure meet all major regulatory requirements and conform to best practices consistent with 8x8's target cybersecurity risk posture.

Key Responsibilities

Provide security and compliance assurance support to 8x8 Sales, Reseller Partners and customers. This will include handling security and compliance inquiries, direct meetings with customer security and compliance teams and responding to customer compliance questionnaires

Completing security and compliance customer needs analysis and providing feedback reports to 8x8 product management

Provide RFI/RFP security responses

Deliver sales security training ensuring up to date knowledge of 8x8's FISMA, HIPAA, CPNI, SOX IT, GDPR, CA AB-375 and other compliance standards

Work with 8x8's legal team on customer contract negotiations minimizing 8x8 liability and risk

Work with 8x8's DPO, GC and Global legal team to assist with the design, implementation and governance of the technical side of GDPR, California's upcoming AB-375 and other global data privacy regulatory requirements

Key Skills & Experience

Minimum 3-5 years Cybersecurity experience

Proven track record of working within a sales environment

Enterprise Compliance / Audit experience preferred

CISSP, CISM, CISA or Equivalent

Knowledge & Experience with Information Security Std. e.g. NIST, OWASP, ISO 27001, GDPR, SOX, HIPAA, FISMA, SOC II, and Data Privacy Regulation

Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

Strong collaboration skills

Willingness and flexibility to travel
