Have you ever wanted to be responsible for leading a development team that are producing software solutions that help some of the biggest companies in the world achieve their vision?If so, now is your chance.
My client is looking to recruit a Head of Development to direct and manage to development function of a rapidly expanding team.
The business has very ambitious growth plans, you will also be responsible for recruiting more Software Developers in the future.
You will ideally understand the full SDLC, and have managed/led development teams in the past. This role will be hands off, however you may be required to help out with coding when necessary.
The role offers a very competitive package and stock options, remote working is also possible after six months.
Responsibilities
To manage the whole development functionPerform code reviews, appraisalsSet an IT Strategy for the companyConstantly research the latest technologies and ensure you're working with themTo support Junior Developers in the team, mentoring and guiding through issuesTo have full responsibility for coding micro-services with interoperability with the entire system stack through managed API interfaces.To work with the Development Manager in the prioritization of development tasks and the execution of these tasks with high-quality deliverables.To address problem-solving in the broadest context, and coming at problems with innovative and thinking outside-the-box
Essential Skills
Significant experience of running development teams that are building customer-facing multi-tenanted SaaS applicationsAWSMicro-services architectureC#Ideally knowledge of one of the following (Farsight, Lamda, Cloudwatch, Cognito)Agile knowledgeLeadership/mentoring skillsBe comfortable coding when neededWhat they can offer you:
