The Role
We are looking for Network Architects, with previous bid experience, to join an award-winning Networks Practice. You will work closely with Solution Owners to produce design documentation, on a wide variety of bids, which vary in size and complexity.
Your skill set will be matched with the right projects and technologies. Giving you a chance to not just utilise your existing skill set, but build upon it, gaining exposure to the latest technology developing ground breaking solutions to everyday problems. The work is challenging, but overall it is extremely rewarding.
You will need to be comfortable working under pressure and to deadlines as well as having the ability to converse with techie's and non-techie's alike.
Key Responsibilities
Create and be responsible for BID responses and other BID artefacts for specific key areas of the solutionProduction of estimates including BOMs, licensing and effort based on chosen methodology.Support the Lead Bid Architect/Solution Owner in defining designs in line with requirements.Full ownership of network cost model and network aspects of overall solutionEnsure proposals produced are fit for purpose and are capable of being put through Business Approval Review (BAR).Provide input into reports, when required, to the customer and Lead Network Bid Architects.Support to the Programme and Project Managers in producing bid and project deliverables such as programme plans with key milestonesAbility to work collaboratively with other architects as part of small or large teamEssential Skills
Design experience in proposing and utilising technologies from a variety of industry leading technology vendors.Hold current certification from leading network vendors such as Cisco and JuniperExperience in requirements mapping and management and associated tooling.Previous experience working on bids and/or large and complex RFCs.Working with finance colleagues and taking full ownership of network cost modelSolid understanding of a variety of network and routing protocols.Demonstrable troubleshooting skills and approach to defect resolution.Demonstrable experience in delivery of network solutionsDesirable Skills
SC or DV clearanceDesigns utilising Software Defined Network solutions.DNS and IPAM knowledge.Knowledge of virtualization platforms and CloudExperience with Network Management or SIEM designs, tooling or support.The Company
