Senior MS SQL-Server Database Administrator (gn) Job number: 124886Location: Vienna (Austria)Start: ASAP Duration: min. 3 months ResponsibilitiesProvide expert support to ensure the availability of multiple Microsoft SQL Server database environmentsEnsure database environments and data are recoverable in the event of hardware or software failure or a disasterMonitor and maintain databases, database environments, track database issues, and provide timely resolution as per the pre defined SLAsProvide root causes analysis for system errors and take action to mitigate future errors.Conduct performance analysis and tuningConduct monthly security patch deployment planning and testing, and resolve issues to ensure all database management systems are available after patchingEnsure system and data access is provided to only authorized usersSupport activities such as creating accounts, granting and removing privilegesDefine, maintain, and troubleshoot data replication issuesSupport installation, configuration, maintenance, and support across multiple Database Management SystemsDetermine database size, growth rate, and space requirements, and establish backup strategy for databases.Design, develop, maintain, and execute data migration processes and refresh data according to established schedulesDocument existing database and maintain documentation set with each subsequent changePerform activities related to day-to-day administration and maintenance of database systemsProvides 24x7 on-call support as part of rotating team coverage Qualifications5+ years of SQL Server DBA experienceExperience in Database Security industryKnowledge of programming skills such as in T-SQL, PowerShell, VBScript, etcExcellent communication and customer service skillsKnowledge of SQL Server native HA (High Availability) and Disaster Recovery (DR) technologiesKnowledge of Windows Operating System (OS) and clustering componentExperience in database performance tuning and optimization, using native or third party monitoring and troubleshooting toolsKnowledge in ITIL Processes, especially in Change- and IncidentmanagementHands-on experience performing backups and restores natively or through third party toolsVerbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service, and interpersonal skills If you are interested in this position, please send me an E-Mail with your latest CV in Word format.I'm looking forward to receiving your application.
