Project Manager

Our client, a privately run company, operating within the Income Protection market, is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team on a contract basis for an initial 6 month contract. The Project Manager will be based in Milton Keynes, with frequent travel to London. The Project Manager will have sound Governance experience, specifically around requirements for projects and reporting, as well as an Income Protection and Guaranteed Life background.

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing our client's business change and product delivery project(s) to agreed budget, timescale and quality, as well as supporting the Project Sponsor in managing internal and external stakeholders with the overall programme governance framework

Project Manager - Key Skills:

    '€¢Project Management expertise'€¢Experience in governance requirements for projects and reporting'€¢To maintain an understanding of - and adhere to - the Data Protection Act, Anti-Money Laundering regulations and all relevant policies and procedures.'€¢To maintain an awareness of the importance of risk within the Society and to bring any matters of concern to the attention of management through agreed processes'€¢Income Protection experience'€¢Guaranteed Life experience'€¢Carmenta experience (Support) - highly desirable'€¢Creating Terms of Reference and Project Initiation documents for the Project'€¢Creating and maintaining project plans'€¢Ensuring all reporting deadlines are met
    '€¢To support the Project Sponsor through timely updates on progress, risks and issues'€¢Facilitating test plans for new system developments'€¢Facilitating user acceptance testing with new systems co-ordinating with the Programme test manager'€¢Liaising with quote portal vendors to ensure successful integration'€¢Facilitating internal and external training support'€¢Analysing and documenting issues with delivered systems and recording them on the relevant issue management systems
    '€¢Keeping issue management systems up to date with issue resolution progress'€¢Assist business areas in the creation of business processes suitable for new systems
