Lead .NET Developer - Colchester - (£50,000 - £62,000)The organisation in question are based in Colchester and they are keen to recruit experienced Lead Software Developers, ideally with that hybrid mix of technical skills and leadership. The roles are 'full stack' and they are keen to speak to applicants with either a background in Java or Microsoft .NET technologies. You'll be working on cutting edge projects, primarily enterprise in scale and focused around emerging markets such as Big Data, Cloud and AI. As a Lead Software Developer, you'll be expected to work across the full Software Development Lifecycle, working with both internal and external teams whilst acting as a technical escalation point for project issues. You'll also be given a voice, encouraged to research and suggest new technologies if you feel they'd be more suitable for the respective solution. As an organisation, they are heavily Agile and your role will see you adopting a range of Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP, Kanban) as well as modern software development processes including CI/CD, DevOps and Test Driven Development (TDD). Agile experience is specifically important so any previous experience acting as a Scrum Master would be additionally beneficial. In terms of the specific candidate requirements, rather than simply regurgitating the job description, I wanted to highlight a few key areas below:Tech Stack- a background in either Java (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Java 8) or Microsoft (ASP.NET MVC, C#, .NET Core) is preferred.Front End Development- whilst these roles are primarily focused on the back end, experience working with JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Redux, Vue, Ember) would be a huge bonus, as is any experience with basic HTML and Bootstrap.Management- You will have 2/3 Developers reporting into you.In return, you will benefit from an above market-rate salary (£50,000 - £62,000), varied benefits package and the opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies in an Agile environment. Moreover, you will be given a tailored 'T-shaped' progression route, with opportunities to move into Project Management, Development Management and Software Architecture later on down the line.25 days holidayFlexible Working Home working 5% Pension Onsite chef If you are keen to learn a bit more about this specific opportunity then I would be happy to set up a follow up chat - Please apply to this role if you would like to hear more!
