Oracle DBAAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an Oracle DBA to join an expanding and innovative blue-chip company at their Head Office in Hatfield. Your role as Oracle DBA is to continuously develop Oracle features and resolve any operational problems quickly to help maintain the integrity of the internal systems.You will work collaboratively with cross functional teams, engaging in and improving the whole lifecycle of Oracle services; from inception and design, deployment to operational support. The successful Oracle DBA will be responsible for maintaining services once they are live by measuring and monitoring metrics as well as scaling AIX and Linux-based Oracle systems through automation and API self-service, patching, performance tuning, and evolving services by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity. You will also play an important role in providing guidance to developers when designing and building database solutions for applications.To be considered for the Oracle DBA position, you will need to demonstrate:Hands on experience with Oracle DB & OEM, including installation, configuration, backups and replication.Strong knowledge of RMAN, Dataguard, ASM, PL/SQL or Datapump.Experience with another database service i.e. SQL, MySQL, Postgres, Cassandra.Python and/or Unix Scripting skills.Oracle DBA: OEM, RMAN, Dataguard, ASM, PL/SQL, Datapump, Python, Unix, automation.This is an excellent opportunity for an Oracle DBA to undertake technically stretching work in a stimulating and sociable environment, where you can push technological boundaries and create solutions to problems people haven't even thought about yet.Location: Hatfield, HertfordshireSalary: £55,000 - £65,000 (depending on experience) + excellent company benefitsApply for further details and immediate consideration.Understanding Recruitment is acting as an agency on behalf of this vacancy.
