Senior BI Developer Role - LeicesterPERMANENTUP TO £50K + 15% BONUSLOCATED IN LEICESTER We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Manager to lead and develop a small agile team of business intelligence analysts whilst executing and influencing the BI strategy and roadmap.My client is in the process of migrating reporting and analysis systems to Microsoft Power BI, therefore you will have at least 2 years in-depth experience of working with and rolling out Power BI solutions.You will be responsible for the analysis and presentation of data to support business decision making, but also ensure reporting systems are maintained and continuously improved to deliver effective and timely MI/BI to business stakeholders. Key responsibilitiesDevelop, mentor and lead a team to become Power BI experts but also well-rounded analysts, able to deliver insightful MI/BI to support the achievement of business objectives.Own the management of workflow from initial request to delivery of data, reporting and analysis that drives business value.Embed an agile way of working in the business intelligence team, whilst ensuring stakeholders are kept informed of workflow progress.Develop a deep understanding of the Dunelm data landscape and architecture.Continue the rollout of Power BI as the primary reporting and analysis tool across the business.Build relationships with senior stakeholders, working closely with commercial, operational and finance teams.Extract, transform and combine data from multiple sources to deliver insightful MI/BI to support business decision making.Work closely with the data team and IT tribes to ensure the business always has access to accurate and timely data for reporting and analysis purposes. What we need from you Expert in the use of Microsoft Power BI and experienced in other data visualisation, reporting and analysis tools.Experience of leading an agile business intelligence teamStrong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think outside the box and to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.Competent in the use of DAX, SQL, Power Query and other languages / applications necessary to extract, transform and load data into visualisation tools to create dashboards and reports.Knowledge of SSAS tabluar / Azure Analysis Services / PowerApps / Python an advantage.Strong data modelling experienceAttention to detail and the ability to work at pace in a fast-moving environment.Advanced Excel knowledge
