Due to large scale growth my client are currently recruiting a Business Systems Database Administrator to be based within there Epsom office.

My client is a leading provider of automotive financial services, offering an extensive line of financing plans and vehicle and payment protection products to customers through participating dealers.

As a Business Systems Database Administrator as part of a small team of specialists responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining UK Relational Database Server (RDBMS) installations to agreed time and quality specifications. Supporting and maintaining UK application and interfaces.

The responsibilities and authority stated below are subject at all times to company policy.

*To ensure the successful provision of Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases used by TFS UK core and non-core business and IT related applications

*To ensure all development projects are delivered to previously agreed time and quality specifications

*To understand the business drivers, strategy, design, architecture, functionality and supporting data for each of the UK supported business databases and applications

*To contribute to the continual review of the quality of data held within each of the supported databases as required and to advise on data quality improvement opportunities

*To ensure that all supported databases meet the business, functional, performance and availability requirements

Skills and Experience

Adequate experience supporting and maintaining business critical applications within a disparate technical infrastructure to include:

*Operating Systems:

oWindows server (2018-current)

oUNIX (Sun Solaris)

*Relational Database Systems:

oSQL Server (2008-current)

oOracle (11g-current)

*OLTP/Batch

*Experience of 2nd/3rd line in-house support, scripting and IT project work

*SOX/GDPR

*Information Security

*GISG

*Virtualisation

*Cloud Technology - Azure/AWS

*Application Architecture
