On call requirement also at weekends (1/4)£31,705 P/AAbout the roleHere at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Buyer.You will be responsible for ordering aircraft parts requested for any aircraft based within all BMCS Offshore and also assist with indirect procurement ordering. These purchases should be made within the budgetary constraints of the business to support the contractual service delivery requirements.To action requisitions and obtain quotations for new aircraft parts, standard exchanges, repairs orders and indirect requirements in order to obtain the most cost effective solution and efficient delivery to meet the requirements of the business. Orders to be sent to the relevant supplier.To ensure that all requisitions are completed correctly and rejected where the procedure has not been followed.Responsible for receipting indirect orders into Sage once requisitioner has confirmed that the order has been completed/ fulfilled.Update Requestors on a daily basis on the progress of any outstanding orders to allow for planning in the event of a delay in delivery. and ensure the back order report is kept up to date ensuring all orders are chased through to receipt.To ensure all quotes, PO's, acknowledgments and other relevant correspondence is saved for auditing.What do I need to do the role?You'll need previous experience in a similar role, CIPS Qualification or working towards, English and Maths GCSE, National 5 or above, have the ability to interpret and implement supply chain strategies and have relevant business Qualification preferred (HNC/HND).What else do I need to know?The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.About Babcock InternationalFor more than a century, Babcock, the Aerospace and Defence company, has been trusted to deliver bespoke, highly-skilled engineering services.
