Service Desk Analyst - Manchester - 6 month FTC

The company:

One of the North West's leading university's are undergoing a wide range of complex business and IT change to their student management systems to ensure they remain one of the prominent UK universities and offer their students the best possible experience during their time with them.

Your Role:

To be the first point of contact for all staff, students and guests of the University for all IT issues, requests and questions, providing and upholding excellent customer service standards. To provide consistent IT support through various channels representing the IT organisation to its customers.

Essential:

*Excellent communication skills, including listening, writing, questioning and an ability to relate complex technical information to customers with varying levels of technical understanding.

*Excellent telephone manner, keyboard and organisational skills, with a keen ability to multitask.

*Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills, constantly developing an understanding of the services provided to provide accurate and efficient assistance to customers.

*Good overall technical understanding of information technologies, including Windows platform, email technologies, computer networking, applications, software and file storage
