Electronics & Instrumentation Commissioning Engineer Chester Deeside Up to £41.5k+Benefits Huxley Engineering and a Global Name in Marine & Dockside Engineering are looking to recruit an Electronics & Instrumentation Commissioning Engineer on a permanent basis, to support business and project demand for Commissioning & Service Projects. Based near Chester, but working globally circa 110 days a year, the Electronics & Instrumentation Commissioning Engineer role is instrumental in the commissioning, maintenance, service, inspection & repair of Marine & Terminal Systems at Ports, Shipyards, Terminals Installations and Ships / Marine Vessels Globally. Role & Responsibilities of Electronics & Instrumentation Commissioning Engineer On-site installation, commissioning, repair, modification and troubleshooting of all Electronic & Instrumentation Products & SystemsInternal support to departments, including Systems Engineering and Design DepartmentsCustomer technical liaison including conducting System tests and Site tests before acceptanceTraining of customer technical representatives including Managers, Superintendents, MaintenanceEngineers and operators.Education and Experience - Electronics & Instrumentation Commissioning EngineerHNC / HND / Degree (Or similar) Qualifications in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Marine Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering etcCirca 5+ years' experience in Service & Commissioning of Electronic & Instrumentation Systems (Ideally in a Marine Environment)Understanding of the principles of hazardous area complianceCapability to analyse and follow schematics in fault-finding to component levelHigh level of experience in hands on fault findingSelf-motivation and enthusiasm with demonstrable practical skillsAbility to work both alone and within a teamGood communication skills and able to liaise with customers in territories, worldwideAbility to work under pressure.Experience dealing with client on-site and/or in an operational contextWillingness for extensive Global Travel - Indicative travel circa 110+ days per year.Must hold a current passport without travel restrictionsKnowledge of PLC Controls / Automation Controls would be beneficial for this Electronics & Instrumentation Commissioning Engineer role For the successful Electronics & Instrumentation Commissioning Engineer, a salary up to £41,500 + Benefits + Site Rate + Bonus is on offer and this Electronics & Instrumentation Commissioning Engineer role is commutable from Warrington, Liverpool, Chester, Ewloe, Deeside, Runcorn, Wrexham, Broughton, Ellesmere Port, Neston, Birkenhead, Wallasey, Capenhurst, Frodsham and Winsford (as the Electronics & Instrumentation Commissioning Engineer will be office-based when not overseas).
