The GMSP (Mortgages) Technology team are expanding into Dublin for the first time. This role will be part of a global team supporting businesses in London & New York. Team members are responsible for implementing critical financial systems - this is a great opportunity to gain front-line experience of working with trading desks.
Within the bank GMSP Tech are leading adopters of the Bank's Quartz platform, using Python. New technologies under adoption include HTML 5 UIs and Big Data solutions.
What will your main responsibilities involve?
Drive technology deliverables for Mortgages Trading desks using the Quartz platform (Python coding)
Liaise with technology teams located in London, New York, and India
Covers work both on individual projects and team collaboration on strategic initiatives
Work with support & technology partners to escalate and resolve day to day issues
What skills and qualifications will you ideally possess?
Educated to degree level; ideally in computer science or related subject, alternatively any numerate degree (or equivalent experience)
Deep knowledge of developing solutions with evidence of full Life Cycle of product development
Python experience (alternatively C++/C#/Java or similar)
SQL Server experience
Mortgages Business knowledge (ABS/RMBS/CMBS) is desirable (alternatively, solid Credit or Fixed Income business knowledge)
Familiarity with Intex Application and CMO Libraries is helpful
Experience of working in a high energy, dynamic business environment
Good communicator
Must be adaptable and ready to take on the challenge of a new location
