Information Security Assurance Consultant - MidlandsOur client is looking for an Information Security Assurance Consultant to provide SME consultancy and practical assistance on information security risk and control matters throughout the organisationKey ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Company Information Security, EUC & IT Risk Manager, support the, implementation, operation and maintenance of a robust Information Security Management System (ISMS)Support the oversight of Company control standards internally and for its Outsource Service Providers (OSPs)Support the operation of information security compliance monitoring and improvement activities to ensure compliance with internal security policies and applicable legislation and regulations.Produce MI and reporting in relation to Information Security Internal Audit and External Audit actions including Information Security related incidentsSkills, Knowledge and Experience Good knowledge of information security risks and controlsA well-rounded technical IT knowledge as it relates to information security risksAble to work flexibly and supportively within a small ISM functionAble to communicate with and challenge counterparts in OSPs and other external suppliersAble to describe, communicate and promote information security solutions in a manner that the wider business community can understand This is an opportunity to provide key direction in a growing cyber-security function and implement continuous improvement throughout the organisation and the wider group.
