What we're looking for:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Data Architect to join the Solution Architecture team at Direct Line Group, a market leading insurer based in Bromley. We're just 20 mins from Victoria!

You will responsible for the data architecture for a major transformation programme. Using your in-depth knowledge and experience to provide assurance and guidance for functional, technical and enabling architectures, along with ensuring the data architecture is clearly aligned to business architecture, scope and benefits.

As a critical core member of a major programme technology team, you will act as the critical link between the programme, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Data Officer.

Who you'll be working with:

Solution Architecture is a team of circa 30 Architects and Designers responsible for driving the design of stable, innovative and sustainable technology solutions that deliver value for the business and our customers. The team is part of the wider Chief Technology Office which is also home to our Enterprise Architecture team who we work closely with in ensuring alignment of our designs to our technology strategies, policies, principles and standards.

The team is at the focal point for all significant technology design within Direct Line Group collaborating with colleagues in Enterprise Architecture, Security Architecture, Application Development & Maintenance, Live Services, Digital and of course the wider business.

What you'll be doing:

Supporting system integrator (SI) Teams to define data requirements and data integration points/interfaces e.g. Data stored, consumed, integrated and managed by different data entities and IT systems, as well as applications consuming that data.

You will work closely with the Enterprise Data Architect, SI Architects and other key stakeholders to create, publish and maintain the requisite data architecture guidance and measures, such as standards / modelling standards; policies; principles; constraints.

Provide guidance to the business stakeholders on the optimal approach to solve business problems in relation to data solution capabilities.

Support SI solution development teams in specific topic areas during creation of business-driven solutions adhering to enterprise architecture and data governance standards.

Providing domain and subject matter expertise knowledge during technical and business workshops and discussions.

Ensure that operational and supportability guidelines are factored into the construction of any solution; this will include liaison with the relevant live service and service management teams to ensure that they understand the implications of the solution design

An in-depth functional experience of AWS Cloud products, specifically Analytics (Redshift and S3) will be required for this role

Detailed experience of the full end-to-end lifecycle of an enterprise data solution, including analytics, data modelling, data management and data flows/integration

Experience working on large scale Agile programmes and implementing complex change

You will ideally have experience of motor and home insurance products and applications
