My client urgently requires a Storage Engineer to work as part of a scrum team on the client site in Lancashire.

Our client is looking to put a scrum team together and requires a Storage Engineer to work in the team on multiple up-coming infrastructure projects.

Hardware Knowledge

EMC Unity/VMAX SAN (Key)

EMC Connectrix (Key)

EMC Avamar (Key)

Software

EMC Unisphere (Key)

EMC Avamar (Key)

Veritas/Symantec NetBackup 6.5 upwards (Key)

EMC Secure Remote Services (ESRS) (Useful)

EMC Data Protection Advisor (Useful)

BMC Service Now (Useful)

NetApp OnCommand Insight (Useful)

Soft Skills

Enterprise Data Migration Experience (Very Useful)

ITIL (Very Useful)

Implementing and Supporting Enterprise Backup solutions (Very useful)

Operational Acceptance (Useful) Technically part of ITIL but you want people who understand the idea of accepting a robust solution into support and challenging bad designs

OnCall/OOH (Useful) Putting down as people need to know that they will be doing lots of it

DevOps/Agile (Useful) because it's the way everything is going and builds etc are going to be scripted. Also infers building from a runbook
