We have a brand new opportunity for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join one of the UK's leading developers of pharmacy software applications.
They're building a brand new suite of products to help transform the world of pharmacy digital solutions and transitioning their product development and delivery to the Cloud.  About the role You'll be based in Leyland working alongside your Development and Release colleagues and the wider Product team; as an experienced DevOps Engineer you'll be a vital link between these areas of the business. You'll guide and assist in the design, selection and implementation of DevOps tools and CI/CD processes to manage application and environment delivery. You'll consider automation, scripting and deployment to the chosen Cloud platform using the containerisation technologies Kubernetes and Docker This position offers an excellent opportunity, adopting an integral lead role in guiding the technical cloud strategy for the business. What skills will you need? The person we're looking for will ideally come from a technical software development background and have a full understanding of the development and deployment lifecycle. You'll have prior experience in a similar DevOps role, supporting and implementing new DevOps processes and tools to enable the transition from desktop to Cloud. Ideally you'll have knowledge and/or experience in some or all of the following areas: using tools like Git, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, Selenium, Docker, Kubernetes, NodeJS, Webpack, Babel, Redux etc Adobe Creative Suite (XD etc.) Understanding of Continuous Integration (CI) & Continuous Delivery (CD) in the software development environment Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD process for enterprise SaaS and on-prem applications in Java and React or AngularJS. Hands-on experience in build and administer containers using tools such as Docker and Kubernetes Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Fabric, Puppet or SaltStack will be a plus Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools Strong problem-solving skills with an investigative mentality, decision making ability and a capacity for strategic and associative thinking They're offering
