Technical Team Leader

£60,000 - £70,000 + perm benefits

A leading managed service provider based in London is currently recruiting for a technical team lead who can come on board and help manage and grow their UK based DevOps team. The ideal candidate must have a firm understanding of DevOps principles, a varied technical background, and be seeking a challenge that allows you to take the lead on a variety of AWS and Azure based projects. Project management and great organisation skills are essential for success in this role.

You will work closely with our CTO/CEO to design and implement technical strategy for the organisation as a whole.

Responsibilities

*Coach, develop and motivate our UK based DevOps team;

*Manage our Philippines SysOps NOC, working with the local manager;

*Build cross-functional teams to ensure smooth service delivery;

*Identifying training needs and actioning improvement plans;

*Utilise Jira to organise work in a logical and efficient manner to ensure the best results for our clients;

*Keeping services and projects up and running smoothly at all times;

*Investigate and solve customer issues which may be complex or long-standing issues;

*Produce KPI's on team performance.

Requirements

*Varied technical knowledge, including AWS, Windows, Azure, Linux, Kubernetes and Docker

*Project Management experience

*A infrastructure-as-code oriented mindset, with knowledge of Terraform and/or CloudFormation;

*A container-oriented mindset, with working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes;

*Knowledge of cloud fundamentals including storage (e.g. S3/EBS/EFS), networking (VPC,

ALB/ELB, etc), databases (RDS, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, DocumentDB, etc)

Experience of configuration management tools, such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet;

Knowledge of automation and CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins and Code-Deploy;

Knowledge of LAMP Stack
