Senior C# Developer required to join the newly-created Core Technology team of a globally-renowned Hedge Fund business. Core Technology are a cross-platform team whose remit covers a range of support areas including Fund Control, Middle Office, and Quantitative Analysis. The core systems include trade databases, time-series databases, C# libraries, links to external data providers (via FTP, Web Services and APIs), Front Office reporting, and trade reconciliation. Significantly, the role includes scope to shape the framework/toolkit for the firm's strategic business. C# is the core language however the firm also uses Java, Python, C++ and Scala. They are also pursuing a "Cloud-Only" strategy which will see the business running entirely on AWS. Requirements 8+ years' professional programming experience with strong C#.Backend and frontend development in a professional environment plus working knowledge of SQL and databases.Degree in a technical discipline (such as Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, 2:1 or higher).Ability to work in a dynamic environment, providing both tactical and strategic solutions.Strong verbal and written communication skillsExperience with web services, other OO or functional languages such as Java, Python or Scala desirableExperience with or an interest in developing for AWS or other cloud services This is an outstanding opportunity for a C# expert to join a newly-created Core Technology team as part of a highly exciting and dynamic Hedge Fund business.
