Tester

We are passionate about training, technology and career development.Role description: Our client is a leading telecommunications company in the UK who provide TV and broadband Internet services. The Tester will work collaboratively within the Test team, working on a variety of next-generation products. Work opportunities will be challenging and interesting, with exposure to new technologies and an opportunity for development in Testing.Essential Skills:Good understanding of the software development lifecycleProfessional attitude and strong work ethicInterest in testing and quality assuranceAttention to detailFlexible and able to work well in a team.Strong written and spoken EnglishInterested and willing to develop their skillsSkills required (Desirable):Functional knowledge in HTML5/Bespoke apps such as YouTube, Red Bull, Spotify, BBC iPlayer, Netflix and other music apps like Airplay, Bluetooth, VevoUse of Android, iOS and Mac Book devicesSolid understanding of different network devices such as routers, switches and hubsExperience of Agile development (Scrum)Use of Defect management software (e.g. Jira, Bugzilla)Use of collaboration software (e.g. Wiki/Confluence)Use of test management software (e.g. QualityCenter)Comfortable with Unix/Linux command line interfacesSoftware development/scripting experienceUnderstanding of networking and server architecturesIf you have the above skills, please submit your profile in the first instance
