City Centre Hotel Maintenance Assistant

Edinburgh

£9 - £10 per hour

Princes Street Suites hotel (City Center Edinburgh) is looking for his/her Maintenance Assistant

o Salary between £9.00 and £10.00 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)

o 40 hours per week over 5 days

o 28 days holiday each year, including bank holidays

o Uniform provided

o Reporting to the group Maintenance Manager and the General Manager

The tasks are very flexible and will suit a versatile individual:

- PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) from fire alarm test, water temperatures sampling, emergency lighting, boiler pressure monitoring, shower head cleaning, various visual inspections, health and safety duties

- Day to day repairs within the 37 apartments when fault or breakage occurs

- Painting

- Minor electrical tasks

- Welcoming third parties Companies and assist them

- Material orderings

Your profile should be:

- A self-motivated individual with good customer service when interacting with guests, team player with good communication skills as you have to work closely with reception, housekeeping.

- Organized, meticulous, clean and tidy

- Ability to work autonomously

- A fun but professional approach to work is a +

- Positive attitude

Desirably the candidate will have some previous painting and decorating experience and knowledge of how to resolve general maintenance issues, however not essential.
