Role: Business Analyst
Department: Trading Systems - Analytics
Location: Nottingham
Contract: 6 Months
We are currently recruiting for a Business Analyst with capability of an Agile Product Owner to work with FX trading systems. The Business Analyst will sit in the technology group, to take high level deliverables and feature sets from Product Management and define, organize and prioritize them into user stories (and accompanying documentation where needed) for the dev teams to work on.
The BA/PO will work with the project team to identify dependencies and work required to bring the product requirements to life. This role will have a focus on working with analytics from FX trading systems.
Tasks
* Work with customer proposition and technology teams to elicit product requirements.
* Ensure that product management produce documentation to an adequate level of detail.
* Produce functional specifications that are clear and easy to understand.
* Structure complex requirements into epics and stories in Jira.
* Document workflows and use cases as required.
* Facilitate, understand and contribute to technical discussions.
* Agree product structure and specifications with technical and quality teams.
* Support development - i.e. handover, answer questions, supervise what is delivered.
* Support QA - i.e. handover, answer questions, defect management
* Manage JIRA backlog.
Required Skills:
* Ability and willingness to work through the detail of the data mappings.
* Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
* Proven ability to rapidly learn new business domains.
* Requirements elicitation and documentation.
* Experience working with Global teams - and confidence working on the telephone.
* 5 years minimum industry experience
Preferred Skills / Experience:
* Experience working with Agile methodologies as a Product Owner.
* Understanding of FX Trading Systems and/or Analytics
