IT Technical Project Manager Based in London E3

Role

To manage the successful delivery of application technical changes required for financial year product releases by providing a balance between project managerial duties and advanced technological skills, while being responsible for day to day running of the Project from IT point of view. managing resources across key technical work stream deliverables.

Deliver technical solutions to agreed scope, quality, time and budget criteria, proactively managing all associated risks and issues, and ensuring that in application design, development and deployment, customer and business needs are effectively managed and met.

Technically assess risks, assist with technical problem solving, and be able to communicate with ease with business project team all the way through to technical consultants by understanding the technical complexities quite often faced, and understand standard approaches which must be followed.

Duties

Project Management

*Ensure that the project/work stream is effectively managed in accordance

*Ensure Risks identified and managed, including development of mitigation strategies

*Effectively monitor and initiate change requests in order to avoid project drift and maintain an accurate project plan

*Gather and document requirements through workshops, business process analysis and task analysis as required.

*Project plans are kept updated and shared and agreed with the business project team

*Take accurate and timely minutes of meetings including project, team and client meetings as required and distribute accordingly

*Produce and/or collate from across project work streams project reports as required including weekly PMO updates, Project Board reports, risk register, etc

*Assess and monitor key risks and issues, dependencies and assumptions, ensuring that they are reported and escalated appropriately

*Collaborate with internal and external suppliers to ensure that project reporting is on time from each work stream

*Maintain document control ensuring that all project documentation is kept in the relevant shared location

*As required successfully engage in multiple project work streams simultaneously

*Ensure performance towards achievement of deliverables is monitored effectively and reported on

*Legal framework for external suppliers signed off by Legal/Project Sponsor

*Manage and lead End-Project/Lessons Learned workshops and Reports Produced accordingly

Stakeholder Management

*Manage internal and external project stakeholders to ensure that the organisation's expectation for the project are realised and met

*Closely liaise with project work streams to ensure reporting to agreed timescales, identification of project risks and their mitigation

*To liaise with the client and any other identified external stakeholders to ensure there is early identification of risk, potential dissatisfaction, change requirements, etc.

*To develop risk mitigation strategies for risks, as they are identified, in work streams responsible for

Technical Delivery

*Assess technical risks and problem solve solutions

*Use own experience associated to estimates ensuring that the project is delivered in most efficient/timely manner

*Identify root-cause analysis associated to issues

*Ensure that technical solution is as appropriate and not overly complicated to be unwieldy and unable to fully deliver technical solution.

Be the conduit between the Business project team, and Technical Consultants, ensuring the translation of technical to business speak and vice versa; so that communication between these stakeholders is as efficient as possible

Requirements

*Excellent stakeholder engagement skills

*Possessing detailed experience of managing complex work flows to a successful outcome

*Possessing detailed experience of managing the design, development and delivery of integrated business solutions, with both SDLC, Waterfall and Agile methodologies.

*Requirement gathering prioritization planning and facilitating the technology related business processes

*Practical experience of managing and developing cross-functional/matrix project teams working across a mix of complex parallel developments.

*Working across a mix of technology platforms and environments

*With a personal track record of delivering solutions in partnership with a range of business owners, technical teams and external partners.
