Global Financial Services Client is seeking a DevOps Engineer based in Belfast for a 6 month contract.

* Looking for an engineer with Docker/Openshift experience to create pipelines for new streaming applications for financial data.

* You will work closely with product owners and team members to deliver solutions through new and existing channels.

* As a Site Reliability Engineer you will be responsible for the reliable, scalable deployment of Kafka clusters on physical machines and on containers.

* You will integrate with other systems for provisioning, monitoring, and alerting. Working closely with our support teams and development teams, you will help deliver this project with a high level of automation and reliability.

Requirements:

* Fluent in programming/scripting in Python

* You have experience creating, deploying and supporting Docker images

* You have experience deploying and managing fault-tolerant, distributed systems on Linux/Unix, and have strong Bash/Shell experience

* You have experience setting up and deriving insights monitoring tools

* You have high development standards, especially for code quality, code reviews, unit testing, continuous integration and deployment

* Ideally have experience working with an Apache Kafka instance running in production
