Architects - Law Enforcement - London - 8 months - All roles outside IR35

A Law Enforcement organisation is undergoing a significant and complex transformation, whilst at the same time delivering a wide range of change initiatives, many of which relate to external commitments. Critical to transforming the organisation is making informed, cost-effective, data-driven choices about our aging and obsolete technology estate. In order to do this we need suitably, qualified and experienced people (SQEP) in key roles to drive technology change.

Applications Architect, Solution Architect, Data Architect, Security Architect

Security Architect

Skills/Expertise:

*Ability to write architectural design documents, or review design documents provided by others.

*Must have a thorough knowledge of security architecture methodologies;

*Must have a proven track record of implementing and or assuring infrastructure, applications, and information security solutions including technologies such as protective monitoring covering IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, endpoint security, patch management, system hardening, cloud security, gateway security, encryption and PKI, identity and access management, application security and cross-domain solutions.

*Must have a thorough knowledge of the Microsoft Windows concepts, Domains, Active Directory and its concepts, and the interaction between hardware, operating systems, network, data centre, and application software.

*Experience within Secure Government organisations as a security architect.

*Experience in designing and implementing secure 'On Premise' and 'Cloud' based solutions.

*Excellent understanding of Government Security processes and procedures.

Data Architect:

Skills/Expertise:

*In-depth knowledge of data architecture methodologies, frameworks and extensive experience of their application.

*Experience of leading large scale and complex data architecture programmes and projects;

*Experience of the effective adoption and implementation of IT standards and frameworks;

*Practical experience of data architecture and design as applied to data exploitation and analytics capabilities;

*A proven ability to translate technical concepts between software engineering, delivery management and service management so they are understood by all;

*Ability to write architectural design documents, or review design documents provided by others.

*Must have a thorough knowledge of designing and implementing data driven solutions.

*Experience within Secure Government organisations as a data architect.

*Experience in defining Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes and schemas.

*Experience in defining and maintaining enterprise wide data standards, practices, and design patterns, ensuring these align with the enterprise architectural plan, HMG strategies, policies, standards and industry good practise.

Solution Architect

Skills/Expertise:

*In-depth knowledge of architecture methodologies and frameworks and extensive experience of their application.

*Broad and up-to-date knowledge of IT capabilities and services including cloud computing, end user computing, on-premise hosting, identity and access management, virtualisation, application development and management, device management, mobility solutions, secure gateways and remote access, management infrastructure and cross-domain solutions.

*Experience of technical design and formal review of technical solutions.

*Experience of the effective adoption and implementation of IT standards and frameworks.

*Proven experience of supervision or first line management.

*Experienced in effective decision making.

*Experienced in technical architecture and design within planning and project work.Proven experience of developing design artefacts under a number of architecture frameworks e.g. MODAF, DODAF, TOGAF.
