They say that the average job seeker spends approximately 60 seconds skimming through a job ad (especially when said content is digested via mobile), before deciding whether to apply or ignore. So with that in mind, I wanted to craft something nice and short but hopefully interesting enough for you to want to take further. Here we go...I have partnered up with a leading Digital Transformation Consultancy in Leeds City Centre who are looking to add to their existing delivery function by recruiting an experienced Agile Project Manager with a background delivering Agile software projects. The role is due to growth and an expanding project pipeline, with the long term focus being career progression and the opportunity to move into a Head of Delivery or Delivery Director role. The core focus of the role will be to essentially initiate, plan, facilitate and motivate high-performing Agile project teams with the overriding goal being to deliver high-quality and scalable solutions to their customers. You will work closely with these teams on a daily basis, with said teams consisting of Software Engineers, Web Developers, Mobile Developers and Business Analysts. You will act as a de facto 'Scrum Master' on occasions and will be expected to engage with technical stakeholders on a daily basis. In terms of what they expect from you, rather than copy and paste the JD, I have chosen to highlight the key requirements following discussions with their CTO:Agile - First and foremost, you must have proven experience leading Agile project teams and delivering Agile projects using methodologies including Scrum and Kanban. Previous experience as either a Product Owner or Scrum Master would be hugely beneficial.Project Management - You should be able to demonstrate excellent delivery experience and a background using methodologies such as Waterfall and/or PRINCE2 would be great. If you have any PM certifications (PMP, PRINCE2) then that would be an added bonus.Stakeholder Management - Moreover, due to the nature of this organisation (i.e. a Technical Consultancy), proven stakeholder-facing experience is therefore mandatory as you will be expected to deal with end customers on a daily basis. Strong communication skills is therefore a huge element of this role and something that must be present.Technical Background - Finally, whilst you won't be writing code or fixing servers, it is important that you have a technical background as you will be responsible for the delivery of E2E software projects (Web, Mobile). If you come from a Software Developer/Web Developer background then that is a big bonus. In return, you will benefit from an organisation that actually values their employees and I can personally vouch for the fact that they have a great company culture. They offer flexible working hours and the opportunity to work from home, alongside a competitive benefits/bonus package. So if you like the sound of this and feel this job ad hasn't been too bad to read then please contact me via the following means:Direct Dial (Office): 0191 338 7540Mobile: 07943721308Email: [email protected]LinkedIn: Liam HaghighatAnything discussed will be confidential and fully compliant with GDPR.
