Responsibilities
For the database:
- To advise on a suitable database to Adopt which is fit for purpose for the client
*establish the needs of users and map out the design for the database
*consider both back-end organisation of data and front-end accessibility for end-users
*install and test the database and develop, manage and test back-up and disaster recovery plans
*maintain data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection Act
*control access permissions and privileges
*ensure that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly
*communicate regularly with relevant staff via a user group to ensure database integrity and security
*compile user manual
For the website
*contact key users to get feedback on need and design
*using the template develop and adapt a design for the website which incorporates the departmental needs
*communicate regularly with relevant staff via a user group on website development
Experience: Proven ability of database and website development
There may be some flexibility in respect of working hours which would be discussed at interview with the right candidate
