My global financial services client is looking for an expert Java Developer, someone with fixed income product knowledge and also someone able to deliver technical solutions in line with prioritized book of work for the EMEA Rates business.

Location - Canary Wharf

Duration - 6 Months

Rate - £600pd

Responsibilities:

*Work directly with Traders and Quants to deliver against key priorities

*Partner with the global pricing team (LON, NY, TOR, TK, SYD) on the delivery of key, strategic initiatives

*Partner with other EMEA technology teams to deliver against key priorities

*Use your creativity and innovation to improve the technical capabilities of the platform and ensure it remains stable, flexible and maintainable

*Utilize a full understanding of the systems implementation to provide operational 3rd line support

Skills & Qualifications:

Education

*Bachelor degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or a related field.

Required Skills

*Fixed income product knowledge

*Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

*Exceptional Java and OO design skills

*Understanding of computing science fundamentals - concurrency, algorithms, operating systems

*Self-starting, motivated and willing to learn

*Strong written and verbal communication skills

*Excellent planning and organizational skills

*Diligent with automated testing i.e. Junit/Mockito/Cucumber
